Life. ever.   Meet Adele Cavaliere - TITIKA's new Nutrition and Fitness Expert: Adele Cavaliere is a Nutritionist, published author of the book, “21 Days to Detoxify Your Life,” is an elite fitness trainer, yoga instructor and founder of Nutri-School. Adele has worked with countless people empowering them to transform their lives, their bodies and their careers! Adele has worked with celebrities, pro-athletes and her success stories have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Shape, Fitness RX and more!   Your personal journey is a testament to how fitness and nutrition can completely change someone’s life. What is the most rewarding part of being a certified life coach for others on the same path? Being a life coach is about empowering others in making the most of their lives. Mentorship as I see it can be the ultimate coach that will guide and motivate someone through the hustle and grind! I’ve seen it in my own life. While I had to put in the work, my mentors and coaches helped me find the necessary confidence to ascend to new heights. Highly successful people we read about today had mentors in the past and the tutelage of others got them where they are now. I believe successful people have a responsibility to relay their knowledge to others and, quite literally, change the world.   Who is the most memorable client you have worked with and why? Hired by Muscletech as their lead Diet and Fitness Associate – I worked with many women who wanted to change their life through health and wellness. Stacy lost 93lbs working with me. Stacy never thought she would lose the weight yet alone being featured in national magazines and photo shoots! So many times Stacy wanted to give up and throw in the towel. Witnessing her pushing her own limits, her boundaries and moving past her fears was an amazing experience for me. I learned a lot about what it meant to be a successful weight loss coach. I learned how to see beyond a person’s “story” and help them tap into what they are really capable of when someone believes in them.   What are three changes our T-Girls can make right now for better health and overall balance? Create a morning ritual! The morning routine literally creates the tone for the remainder of your day. No matter how terrible yesterday was or how much you have to do today, the morning routine is your daily constant. Whether you dedicate this time to working out, yoga, meditation, sipping on herbal tea or taking a walk - it’s essentially the time you allocate towards yourself, every day, no matter what. Focus on gratitude! The same effort that goes into eating healthy and staying active should also be directed towards positive thinking. Research shows a healthy positive attitude helps build a healthier immune system and boosts overall health. Your body believes what you think, so focus on the positive. Go Green! Add a serving of vegetables to each meal. Our new green best friends tend to be among the most nutrient dense of foods, meaning they have the most nutrition value per calorie. They fill you up faster and supply your body with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Try to get a variety of veggies in your diet, and make sure to include leafy greens like rapini, kale, spinach and asparagus.   At TITIKA we prioritize versatility and function in all of our items. How important is versatility in your own life? Change has always been and will always be a recurring theme in my life. Because of it, I have learned from an early age that a grateful attitude and open mind can help me succeed in any situation. Versatility exposes new ideas, which excites me because it means it is an opportunity to improve myself. As a mother, and through my career - I want my children, clients and students to be inspired to try new things and challenge their limitations. When people are excited about improving their own lives, it makes for a much more valuable and memorable experience!   Which health practice/ritual do you do every day that more women should know about? Over the last few years, I have placed a lot of effort to be as natural as possible when it comes to my beauty and home cleaning practice. Did you know that the average person smears, lathers, rubs and sprays, 10-20 different skin care products on his or her body every day--and since our skin acts more like a sponge than a barrier, we absorb the nearly 130 chemicals we regularly expose ourselves to. Cosmetics companies and the FDA maintain that these chemicals are safe, and many of them are--in small doses at least. But consider that the average woman wears makeup every day, and you begin to understand how a little dab here a quick spray there begins to add up. The fact is, no one really knows how certain chemicals affect us over time, or how they react in our bodies in combination. There are now over 56 chemical free brands – so there really is no excuse more than ever to go chemical free! It doesn’t just start from what you put on your skin…take some time and research the products you are using to clean your home or wash your clothes. Throughout my own weight loss transformation – exercise became my drive, my outlet, my motivation and my personal power. Nutrition and fitness are my life’s passion – and changing the way you eat and move can create opportunities and open doors you never thought possible. For a lucky few, this is a typical Bahamas morning. For the rest of us, it can be a struggle to live our dream lives and still survive in the real world. Meet Queenie, a SUP yoga instructor who makes her dreams a reality every single day.   Unlike traditional yoga, SUP yoga highlights the importance of being close to nature by having yogis practice their poses on paddle boards. SUP yoga is aimed at building confidence, balance and mindfulness of the self. Balancing even the most basic pose is a challenge on a paddleboard as focus and determination are crucial to stay afloat. Just like real life, you need to get out of the comfort zone to bring new and refreshing experiences!   Doing SUP yoga in the Bahamas   Be true to yourself and you will be set free Almost all students start paddle yoga for the wrong reasons, like to achieve a toned body. As time goes on, their perspective changes and SUP becomes part of their lifestyle. Six packs are great but that’s just outer beauty. Knowing and being in tune with one’s true self is real beauty. Accept who you are and follow your heart!       Quick Q&A with Queenie How is SUP yoga different from regular yoga? Figuratively speaking, paddle yoga removes barrier between 4 walls and nature. Since waves can be unpredictable, one needs to be more focused and have a stronger core to stay afloat. All the concentration also makes it is easier to practice meditation.   What’s your daily wardrobe since you’re on-the-go all the time? I can usually be found yoga-friendly outfits; I also have clothes I can wear to social functions. One reason why I love Titika is its versatility; I can mix and match its collection to accommodate all my different daily activities. For paddle yoga (SUP) the outfits have to be highly functional. I never wear the same styles every day. I like mixing and matching the various designs from Titika, like a sports bra and leggings for different looks   Do you follow a daily mantra? “We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”  ― Friedrich Nietzsche   What advice would you give to beginners? Safety first -- if you’re not a good swimmer, stay in shallow water.
